Google Dashboard Docs

This is documentation for the process of collecting data from the MQTT server and TTN and then processing that on IBM cloud and displaying the transformed data (information) using graphs on Google Data Studio.

Part 1. Researching different Dashboard Services

1. Freeboard.io Simple to use, easily scalable, drag and drop feature, however, requires a monthly subscriptions and can only provide a limited number of dashboards.

2. Grafana Dashboards A little harder to use, however provide a lot of templates, and is free. Hard to deploy (compared to other options)

3. Google Data Studio Easy to use, free and can create infinite number of dashboards. Also can be linked to Google account and can be shared easily with security. This is the option chosen.

Part 2. Experimenting with Google Data Studio

To create a dashboard, you must have a Google account. Once a Google account has been created, you simply click on "new blank report". Google Data Studio will create a blank canvas on which you can import your data and create graphs for it.
