Here are the list of plants I was thinking of purchasing from Latrobe Uni to plant around the wetlands. I’m open to suggestions.

== Edge Plantings ==
* Plantings at the edge of water and within the first metre or so in the water (to a depth of 20cm)
* Example species include:
** Gregiflorus,
** australis,
** amabilis,
** pauciflorus,
** pallidus
** Cyperus spp. (appressa, fasicularis, Lucidus and tereticaulis)

== Middle Plantings ==
* Middle plantings my help to reduce the growth of more invasive species such as Juncus and Carex
* Floating plants and submerged plants include:
** Curly pond weed Potamongeton crispus submerged (only after turbidity settles in the future)
** Azolla rubra – float (I will remove this to use as mulch when necessary)
** Floating pondweed potamogeton cheesemanii
** Water ribbon – cycnogeton procerum (bush tucker)

== Riparian Plantings ==
* Appropriate riparian wetland species ensure that there is little space for any phragmites seeds to blow over and germinate from the creek.
* Some species could include
** Swamp everlasting daisy (CE) xerochrysum palustre 40cmxspread butterfly and native bee. V.rare in Melb (Gisborne, roxberg park, lower plenty)
** Matted flax lily (endangered) Dianella amoena
** Curly sedge (endangered) Carex tasmanica
** Swamp wallaby grass Amphibromus nervosus (plump SWG is En) inund 5cm
